*** Answering a msg posted in area fn_sysop (fn_sysop).              Bj”rn,              Wednesday September 09 2015 14:18, you wrote to All:               BF> .. access them from my JamNNTPd server I get 90% of the first third        BF> (FN_SYS_1) (14499 out of 16000 msgs) and the rest of it (_2 and _3)        BF> returns blanks even though it tries to recover 13143 and 11257        BF> respectively messages.              I wonder if there is some bug in the jamLib version of jamnntpd. One of the       more confusing things about the jamnntpd bandwaggon is that there are several       versions out there. The jamlib versions may compile on 64bit but corrupts       msgbases because of alignment issues. (building with -m32 is a quick fix).        Even with this, I had issues access messages in bases larger than ~16K in       messages - can't remember the exact number.              With a few exceptions the smapi version has worked best for me. I have based       all changes I made since on this. It even compiles and works on 64bit without       any special requirements (not that 64bit is required for limits being delt       with).              Take care,              Matt              ---        * Origin: The Byte Museum - An IPV6 Capable System (1:19/10)    |
