   My focus has been smapi on freebsd with clang.  I think I have a semi   
   stable version now.  Two big issues I discovered were:   
      
   1) If you posted a message and a message base was for some reason   
   packed it would delete the message.  Something wasn't being wirtten   
   properly if the message base wasn't closed via smapi after writing.   
   The frightening thing is that if jamnntpd were to crash after a series   
   of messages were written likely left base in bad state.   Every test I   
   did so far seems good.   
      
   2) If reading with the Agent reader, it does not issue the GROUP   
   command.  This would crash jamnntpd.  I think I found work around for   
   this behavior as it does not crash any longer.   
      
   3) Also found and fixed this annoying bug:   
   Could not bind to port (server already running?): Address already in   
   use   
      
   If the server was stopped (or crashed) one gets this message until   
   timeout is reached before can start again.   
      
      
   I am by no means a "programmer" but I will see if these changes work   
   well here.  If so, I'll release them into the wild. :-)
