   echomail.sdm and netmail.sdm are pretty standard for Star Dot Msg (*.msg)...   
      
   echomail.bbs and netmail.bbs are pretty standard for HMB (Hudson Message   
   Base)...   
      
   echomail.jam and netmail.jam are standard for JAM...   
      
   IIRC, the same for SQUish and EZYcom areas, too...   
      
   my scripts just look for these to determine if there is mail needing to be   
   exported from the message bases and what kind of mail, echo or net, to decide   
   what options to pass to the scanner... no need to scan echos if there's only   
   netmail waiting to go out, eh? ;)   
      
   the above also have the added feature of actually carrying data...   
   specifically the message numbers and the message areas to be scanned and   
   exported...
