   as for the 'E' in 'KDE', originally 'KDE' was a word-play on Common Desktop   
   Environment... the 'K' originally was to stand for 'Kool' but that was dropped   
   and it became just 'K Desktop Environment'... so the 'E' stands for   
   'Environment' ;)
