The most fidonet programs can run on w7 and both in 32bit system, but if it is
on 64bit then be sure the software is 64bit compatible software.
Here by wednesday I tried my usb point system pack on a new usb stick and as
it is dos based and 32bit programs, unziped I from my harddisk to usb stick
and put the usb stick on my W7 64bit portable pc, all program run fine but
when I tried the old pkzip and pkunzip 204 and 2.50 on it the W7 comes and
said 'use a 64bit compatible zip' and that tells that the packer must be 64
   compatible now on a W7 64bit system.
So for using zip compression on 64bit is the best way to get hand on a zip and
unzip util there is 64bit compatible and drop the pkware pkzip and pkunzip,
info-zip has a unzip v6.x there is 64bit compatible and it is then to get hand
of this and a zip64 for packing.

It you then still like to use pkware pkzip and pkunzip then download the
latest version from pkware but be aware on it only work in 30 days if it not
   is registered.

     Take care,
               Gert
