As I wrote in my yearly       Fidonews article in Fidonews 38:01:              ==- quote ===              When we look at the past decade we see that IPv6 in Fidonet grew       from zero to almost a hundred . Nearly 10% of the listed Fido nodes.       The growth went from exponential in the first five years to almost       lineair since 2015. Until the end of 2015, the number almost doubled       every year. In 2016 we had a mere net increase of 12 nodes. I say       "net" because in 2016, not only did we see new IPv6 nodes, we also       saw nodes disappear from the list. Some stopped supporting IPv6, some       left Fidonet altogether. This trend continued in 2017-2020. A net       increase of 13 nodes in 2017, 14 in 2018, 8 in 2019 and 7 in 2020.              Statistics on small numbers is always tricky, but we can not deny       the impression that sinds two years the rate of net increase appears       to be dropping. Had the lineair growth that started in 2015       continued, we would have reached 100 last year. As it is it will take       another year and if the rate of increase drops further it may take       even longer. Or forever...              === end quote ===                     Cheers, Michiel              --- GoldED+/W32-MSVC 1.1.5-b20170303        * Origin: he.net certified sage (2:280/5555)       SEEN-BY: 1/123 19/10 90/1 105/81 120/340 123/131 203/0 221/0 6 226/30       SEEN-BY: 227/702 229/424 426 550 664 700 1016 240/5138 5411 5824 5832       SEEN-BY: 240/5853 249/206 317 400 250/1 280/464 5003 5006 5555 282/1038       SEEN-BY: 310/31 317/3 320/219 322/757 342/200 460/58 633/280 640/1384       SEEN-BY: 712/848 2452/250 2454/119 5019/40 5020/545 1042 12000 5053/58       PATH: 280/5555 240/5832 229/426           |
