   Hello Markus,

On Thursday May 31 2018 16:31, you wrote to me:

And it probably never will, so they are beyond hope... :)

Outgoing IPv6 capability is much more usefull for the near future than
inbound. It will be a long time before there are nodes that do not have
outgoing IPv4 capability. Outgoing IPv4 (at least for Fdionet) works fine from
behind CGNAT. Much sooner, there will be nodes that cab only handle incoming
via IPv6. So to contact those, one needs outgoing IPv6. Outgoing proxy is a
   lot harder.

MvdV>> So how about you making some noise in the R24 sysop echo? ;-)

MR> That would be a waste of energy. :)

I see that you spend some energy on it anyway. Time will tell if it is
   wasted...

MR> We have to wait until nodes are forced to IPv6 by their ISPs. Another
    MR> cup of tea? ;)

Here (Netherlands) no one is forced onto IPv6 yet. Ziggo (a daughter of
Liberty Global) is now issuing DS-Lite to new customers. But they can be
switched to IPv4 only on request. So waiting for the ISP to turn the tide is
waiting for the sun to rise in the west. As it has been for the last decade...

   Cheers, Michiel
