My ISP has optional blocking for a list of "vulnerable" ports, which includes
22, 23, 25, 80, 137-139, 445, etc. It defaults to on for new users, but can be
easily turned off through their web interface (i.e. if you know what you're
doing, feel free to turn it off). I have the filter turned off, as you may
   have guessed.
