   When you don't trust that the guy next to you at Starbucks isn't sniffing   
   packets, or that someone upstream is snooping on traffic, user VPNs are nice.   
   It all depends on the VPN owner, whether they log traffic on their end that can   
   be connected back to you, but it's a start.   
      
   SSL through an SSH proxy through a VPN tunnel - have fun with that one - spend   
   some cycles decrypting it just to see it's the latest groupon email.
