   That sounds like a dream come true. When I lived in the Bay Area I turned like   
   15 friends onto Astound Internet, a super fast alternative to Comsuck, though   
   at the time I was not into Usenet, but at least Astound had enough bandwidth on   
   their backend to support all their users. I hear comcast's got serious   
   bottlenecks to the main backbone. Makes everything crawl during primetime.   
      
   Living in the borderlands these days, my options are limited, either sucky AT&T   
   DSL, or Charter DSL, basically the same service over REALLY old copper lines.   
      
   it's hilarious though, Comcast calls me every 2-3 months asking if I want to   
   setup. I always say Yes, because it takes them like 2-3 days to figure out that   
   I'm not actually near their cable, and they seem too lazy to hook into the old   
   abandoned cable line in my backyard.... that I dug up with my rotatiller...   
   and sold for scrap copper.
