They'll eventually feel the push and be forced to do like       the Cellular companies and go back to earning their money! When the internet       first came to the home market everyone claimed "Unlimited Internet!" Then       cellular plans started claiming Unlimited Data.... Then their Unlimited Data       started having more and more Limits. AT&T recently discovered their limits       caused it to be cheaper for my girlfriend and I to leave them. We've got an       awesome plan on Cspire that I'd love to see an internet provider start doing       and pushing the others to doing! We get unlimited data and text, but the only        clause is that "Streaming" they allow you to have unlimited audio streaming,       but video streaming is limited to 30 mins / month. I do have issues with this,       as I don't see how you can call streaming not 'data'. Data defines any form of       internet use, it'd seem like someone could get them on that... But not       complaining, because despite their limited voice plans, I can launch Skype and       pay $2.99/month and make unlimited skype calls via their DATA plan! So for       $100 a month, I get 2 phone lines with 1000 minutes shared between the two and       unlimited text and data and audio streaming, $2.99 more and I can effectively       talk to anyone any time as much as I want... I'd love to catch an ISP       advertising Unlimited internet again.... Then nail them for using the word       unlimited with their conditions (unless they are truely unlimited, in which       case, I'd have to switch to them!) Every one I see has bandwidth limits, and       charge you extra if you exceed the bandwidth. I also have a hard time with       bandwidth metering. How am I to know their info is accurate?              ---        þ Synchronet þ Roach Guts -- kingcoder.net        * Origin: Time Warp of the Future BBS - Home of League 10 (1:340/400)    |
