   That's true.  Many businesses are on Facebook and are offering deals where if   
   you "Like" them then you will be entered for a chance to win something.  Having   
   people "like" them on Facebook helps them because then all your friends will   
   see that you "liked" something and then they might click on it to find more   
   information.   
      
   This isn't limited to just Facebook.  I've also heard about companies going   
   into Second Life (an online 3D virtual world, similar to an MMORPG but it's   
   open-ended without a specific goal).
