It wouldn't be the same, though.        > Well ignore Google Plus. What do you think will revolutionize the        > communications?              Hm, I would consider that a different question as to what would replace FB and       Twitter (I don't see either of them revolutionary--Twitter == BBS wall, FB =       BBS messages, finger, etc, on a much grander scale).              I think there will always be "two big ones": one personal users stick to, and       one for business. You can see this happening with FaceBook vs LinkedIn. My       opinion is that Twitter type sites are going to die out in the next few years.       This is based on what I see at my work role which focuses around these sites       and technologies.              I wouldn't say this in my line of work, but Twitter is for people who need to       think they're heard, even if they have nothing to say. It's much more difficult       to have a FB and Twitter accounts, and NOT post anything, than it is to become       one of those people who post "I'm at KFC, Waterloo" type status updates       (personally, I despise seeing updates like this).              I am as guilty as the next person of posting meaningless updates. I try not to,       but it happens. I'm seeing a trend of less and less valuable communications       coming via Facebook and Twitter: does anyone else feel the same way? I would be       interested in exploring this degradation if anyone also works in this industry.              As for the "next big thing". I believe it will be a new social network       phenomenon called "SyncHack". It will replace FaceBook, Google+, Twitter and       Linked In because it will be labelled a "turnkey, best-of-breed enterprise 2.0       solution".               :)              Kind regards,               art@fatcatsbbsdotcom               "I will have to say that this morning, I was the leader of the universe as        I knew it.
