Comcast has been nothing but trouble since they got into the       ISPindustry, blocking ports at times, and making it technically a violation       ofyour license agreement to run a server of ANY KIND on a residential       connection.Yea, right. The active filtering of BitTorrent was a mess as well,       and is nowwhat the EFF uses as a benchmark to see if a net-neutrality proposal       holds anywater. If it would have prevented that action by Comcast, it's       worthconsidering. Meanwhile, today, Comcast is teamed up with AT&T and       Verizon in a6 strikes approach to piracy, which seeks to create a blacklist of       people whocan get service at none of those aforementioned ISPs (and I believe       there maybe some others as well that are in on it). Man, kind of makes me       glad I can atleast still get RCN around here. I feel bad for people who get       no choice inwhere their Internet comes from.              cykros       Discordia BBS: An apple a day keeps the goddess at play...fnord.       telnet://discordia.dyndns.info              ---        þ Synchronet þ Discordia BBS        * Origin: Time Warp of the Future BBS - Home of League 10 (1:340/400)    |
