   I'd love a federated social network. Run your own server, host your own data,   
   and talk to others on your own terms. Identi.ca does this for microblogging -   
   you can run your own server but talk to other servers easily. No more Twitter   
   "Fail Whale".   
      
   But, most people are on Twitter. I'm getting sick of the twitter adbots,   
   sometimes post something random just to see who follows me.
