   Well, I do see a lot of cross posting in the two groups I follow   
   (alt.philosophy and alt.survival), but for the most part, that's where the crap   
   comes from, that either brings things into the realm of religious or political   
   sh*t-flinging.  But, it's not actual spam, nor is it entirely out of left   
   field, and people seem to still respond quite a bit to it, so I'd probably   
   advise first dealing with things as is until you figure out the dynamics of the   
   particular groups you're following and determining how you want to set your   
   filter rules from there.
