I've heard        Ni> about people in the software & web development industries, for        Ni> instance, who post updates on Twitter, which others follow.              That's funny, I was thinking about this very thing this morning. Here's       an interesting use of Facebook and Twitter:              KFDM's 6 This Morning (kfdm.com) asks their morning audience interesting       questions each morning. An example might be "We're wondering how many of       you out there are worried about the threat of radioactive fish? Go to       Facebook and post your thoughts..." Then, later on they put up live a       shot of their Facebook page, magnified to show the comments, and scroll       through them.              The same station redid their weather section on kfdm.com about a year ago       and use Twitter to broadcast weather updates through the day. I'm sure       they probably tied an RSS feed to Twitter for their news, but I don't use       any of that. Only reason I knew about the weather feed is they mirror it       on the weather page. I don't like it, but I can certainly see how it's       useful for others. I miss the more detailed forcasts they used to do...       seemed more personal. It all comes off as automatic/computerized now... :p                      --- MultiMail/Win32 v0.49        þ Synchronet þ Southeast Texas BBS -- setxbbs.synchro.net        * Origin: Time Warp of the Future BBS - Home of League 10 (1:340/400)    |
