   It seems to me the whole reason the great internet fiasco of 1994 entire    
   point was to gain control over computer networks. Before it was basically    
   given to the telco giants that still seem to hate computer communications    
   their was little control over it, other than the grad students that really    
   ran it.   
      
   Governments and corporations have always hated freedom of speech, that hasn't    
   changed, and they certainly do try to stop when it happens. In the west where    
   it is technically illegal to tell people to shutup the easiest way to do it    
   is to hand control of the means to some mega-corp[s].
