This talk about DoS attacks reminds me of a stupid person from India trying to   
   do a DoS attack on me.   
      
   He repeatedly tried to telnet into my server. Over and over and over and over.   
      
   I would ban his IP, but he would change his IP and try again. I banned a whole   
   Class B address, but he would try again and again.   
      
   I finally tried to see if I could telnet or HTTP to the address he was using.   
   Turned out he had a DSL router that was WIDE OPEN with the default password!   
      
   I got in there and basically turned off his connection! It stopped him for a   
   couple of hours, but he tried again!   
      
   And again I turned off his router, and then out a outbound ban on my ISP's   
   class B address space.   
      
   Either that worked, or he just got tired of it.. either way he never came back!
