   Well, while you are looking, you might.  I think that too many people try to    
   "keep up', really, just use an app like tweet deck, or distroy twitter, and it    
   becomes a better experience, also the point isn't to get too involved.  Also,    
   following #city or #topic is usually a nice thing over @friend...  sometimes    
   following #yourcity, you find out about cool stuff coming up, or something    
   local happening now.   i actually find discussions following #phx a lot more    
   like what local bbsing used to be than about anything else I've seen.

   not so much.. but if @joe says, I'm having lunch in area X of #city, any    
   recommendations, that works well...   or I'm going from hotel to #airport    
   following #event, anyone to share a cab?   both of those happen a lot on    
   twitter... again, following @joe imho isn't as usefull as    
   #topic/event/location, which might be a more immediate interest/need.

   not likely, I know a lot of people who follow topics of immediate interest    
   over people, and the key isn't to attempt to keep up from yesterday, but to    
   glance at the now.
