   You could also use a service like EditDNS, which in addition to providing   
   free DNS hosting also supports dynamic resource records.  I run a small   
   client (really just a script that makes a call to their web API) that will   
   automatically update the IP address associated with the DNS record of my   
   home system if it changes.   
      
   I recently switched from RCN to Comcast, and my DNS record following me   
   with no manual intervention on my part.
