   OpenSSH is still an OpenBSD project... it is written specifically for OpenBSD,   
   then ported to other platforms.  This is what the relavence of OpenBSD is based   
   on.  Aside from this, OpenBSD has never been particularily relevant except for   
   their agitation in well understood open source issues (binary blobs, closed   
   specs, etc).

   There are reasons for this, some of which are valid.  For example, the Linux   
   kernel community has a poor history of behaviour when importing BSD sources.
