I haven't tested the battery life when using radio.                      AA>> I found a compatible PGP app for it. Telegram is a pretty good substitute as well.               AT> I've never cared much about phone security. Or has newer smartphone technology addressed        AT> that issue?              The PGP that I was referring to is for encypted email.              For encrypted voice comms, I've heard that Signal is a good        choice. Telegram also boasts secure calls:               https://telegram.org/blog/calls                      AA>> There are two competing 3G technologies. This was back around 2011. But aparently I can still use it        AT> on oldschool carriers :)              What model of the BB was it? I'm curious. If it only supported        either 2G or HSPA+ max, then it is not worth it - even the range        for phone calls will be less than what you can get with LTE.              Even my BB's LTE may not be all that it seems, according to this        article:               https://www.ianswerguy.com/what-is-3g-4g-lte/               ..and I can believe it. The best I am getting right now is        barely 2.7Mbps. That's just in the low 3G range! ..and the        phone is telling me it is connected with LTE. But it is much        better than the HSPA+ that I was getting with a previous USB        dongle for mobile.       --        ../|ug              --- OpenXP 5.0.48        * Origin: (2:221/1.58)       SEEN-BY: 1/123 90/1 103/705 105/81 120/340 123/131 124/5016 154/10       SEEN-BY: 203/0 221/1 6 360 226/30 227/114 702 229/101 424 426 452       SEEN-BY: 229/550 664 1016 1017 240/5832 249/110 206 317 400 280/464       SEEN-BY: 280/5003 288/100 292/854 8125 310/31 317/3 322/757 342/200       SEEN-BY: 396/45 423/81 120 712/848 770/1 2452/250       PATH: 221/1 280/464 229/101 426           |
