   why dont you just run windows 7? that's a decent os.   
   i'm not a fan of ubuntu's GUI. or many linux gui's actually. there's nothing to   
   keep me there. i'd rather run windows than a windows clone.  when i need   
   something done in linux i just ssh into a linux box.
