   i can help with the dyn-ip problem i think. there are some dyndns sites   
   offering do a simple ip-check.   
      
   as an example: it is enough to open this url once;   
   http://www.dtdns.com/api/autodns.cfm?id=blackice.bbsindex.com&pw=HERETHEPASS   
   and the domain blackice.bbsindex.com points to the IP where the ping to urls   
   came from.   
      
   if there be an option to set an DYNDNS provider and a checkinterval as well   
   in the settings-menue for the node-feature you go the right major way i think.
