      CHRS: CP437 2       MSGID: 1:18/200@fidonet 668ce691       PID: MBSE-BBS 1.1.0 (Linux-x86_64)       TZUTC: -0500       TID: MBSE-FIDO 1.1.0 (Linux-x86_64)       December 23: National Pfeffernuesse Day              MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06                Title: Pfeffernusse        Categories: Cookies, Snacks, Herbs        Yield: 60 Servings                3 1/2 c A-P flour        2 ts Baking powder        1 1/2 ts Ground cinnamon        1 ts Ground ginger        1/2 ts Baking soda        1/2 ts Salt        1/2 ts Ground cloves        1/2 ts Ground cardamom        1/4 ts Fresh ground black pepper        1 c Butter; softened        1 c Granulated sugar        1/4 c Dark molasses        1 lg Egg        Powdered sugar                Grease cookie sheets; set aside.                Place flour, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, baking        soda, salt, cloves, cardamom and pepper in large bowl;        stir to combine.                Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer        at medium speed until light and fluffy scraping down        side of bowl once, Beat in molasses and egg. Gradually        add flour mixture. Beat at low speed until dough forms,        scraping down side of bowl once. Form dough into a disc;        wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate until firm, 30        minutes or up to 3 days.                Set oven @ 350ºF/175ºC.                Roll dough in 1" balls. Place balls 2" apart on prepared        cookie sheets. Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until golden        brown.                Remove cookies with spatula to wire racks; dust with        sifted powdered sugar.
