      TZUTC: -0400       MSGID: 36712.fido-homecook@1:3634/12 2b4491df       PID: Synchronet 3.18a-Linux May 23 2020 GCC 7.5.0       TID: SBBSecho 3.11-Linux r3.173 May 23 2020 GCC 7.5.0       CHRS: UTF-8 4       MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06                Title: 7-UP Pound Cake        Categories: Cakes, Desserts, Citrus        Yield: 16 servings                1 1/2 c Butter; softened        3 c Sugar        5 lg Eggs; room temp        2 tb Lemon juice        1 ts Vanilla extract        3 c A-P flour        3/4 c 7-UP soda              MMMMM---------------------------GLAZE--------------------------------        1 1/2 c Confectioners' sugar        1 tb Lemon or lime juice        2 tb 7-UP soda        1/2 ts Grated lemon or lime zest;        - opt                Set oven @ 350ºF/175ºC.                Grease and flour a 10" fluted or plain tube pan.                In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and        fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well        after each addition. Beat in lemon juice and vanilla.        Add flour alternately with 7UP, beating well after each        addition.                Transfer batter to prepared pan. Bake until a toothpick        inserted in center comes out clean, 65-75 minutes. Cool        in pan 20 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool        completely.                For glaze, in a small bowl, mix confectioners' sugar,        lemon juice and enough 7UP to reach desired consistency.        If desired, stir in zest.
