         4 md Green tomatoes   
         1 ts Salt   
       1/4 ts Lemon-pepper seasoning   
       3/4 c  Cornmeal   
       1/2 c  Oil   
       
     Slice tomatoes 1/4" thick. Sprinkle both sides with salt   
     and lemon-pepper seasoning. Let stand 20-25 minutes.   
     Coat with cornmeal. In a large skillet, heat oil over   
     medium heat. Fry tomatoes until tender and golden brown,   
     3-4 minutes on each side. Drain on paper towels. Serve   
     immediately.
