      TZUTC: -0400       MSGID: 36223.fido-homecook@1:3634/12 2b1933e8       PID: Synchronet 3.18a-Linux May 23 2020 GCC 7.5.0       TID: SBBSecho 3.11-Linux r3.173 May 23 2020 GCC 7.5.0       CHRS: UTF-8 4       MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06                Title: IPA-Braised Baby Back Ribs        Categories: Pork, Beer, Vegetables, Bbq        Yield: 4 servings                3 lb Pork loin baby back ribs        1/4 c Kansas City-style BBQ rub        12 oz Bottle Bell's Two Hearted        - Ale; divided        1 Shallot; chopped        3 cl Garlic        1 tb Soy sauce        1 (3") cinnamon stick        1/2 c Hickory barbeque sauce        1 ts Ground turmeric        Fresh thyme sprigs; to        - garnish                Set oven @ 225ºF/107ºC. Generously apply rub to all        sides of rib rack.                Combine 1 cup beer, shallot, garlic, soy sauce, and        cinnamon stick in a shallow roasting pan. Place ribs,        bone sides down, in pan. Cover with foil.                Bake ribs for 2-1/2 hours or until very tender. Remove        from oven; carefully drain fat from roasting pan.                Heat broiler. Whisk together barbeque sauce, turmeric,        and remaining 1/2 cup beer. Brush ribs with some of the        sauce and broil 3 to 5 minutes or until golden brown and        a crust has formed. Let stand for 5 minute before        serving. Garnish with thyme, if desired.
