   I don't see it as a switch, rather an addition.

   I added D-STAR in 2007, just before the first repeater arrived in Melbourne.  I   
   got DMR capability in 2014, though didn't get a contact via the network until   
   the other week, when I was in Melbourne and had access to a repeater.
