I got my general license in 2009 and attempted to study for       the extra class examine over half a dozen times for the next decade. I just       kept losing interest. In 2022, I finally got it. For me, the most important       part was motivation. I felt more motivated in 2022 than every to pass the test       than previous years.               The way I did was just pure memorization. I went over the question pool three       times trying to memorize the correct answers. The first pass, I only retained       about 30%. I retained about 80% the second time. On the third pass, I managed       to get just about every question right. This took me about two weeks of       constantly studying and setting everything else aside. Talk about a cram and       jam. I was even at the gym running on the treadmill with the book open.              After the third pass, I just went in and took the test without even trying the       practice exam. I only missed one question. While this method worked for me, I       don't know if I can recommend it for everyone. Each person is different.              -KC0ZPS (Ron)              The Dawn of Demise BBS (tdod.org)       --- SBBSecho 3.06-Linux        * Origin: (1:104/115)       SEEN-BY: 15/0 18/200 90/1 104/115 105/81 106/201 114/706 709 710 711       SEEN-BY: 114/712 713 128/2 73 187 206 253 255 256 258 260 261 262       SEEN-BY: 128/263 129/305 135/220 225 153/7715 218/700 226/30 227/114       SEEN-BY: 229/110 111 112 113 200 206 307 312 317 400 426 428 470 664       SEEN-BY: 229/700 266/512 282/1038 291/111 292/854 320/219 322/757       SEEN-BY: 340/400 342/200 396/45 460/58 633/280 712/848 5020/400 5075/35       PATH: 104/115 15/0 229/426           |
