   Sean,

SD>I have the book in a drawer here. Have to clean off the mouse turds though
SD>(damn field mice are invading my shed). I should go ahead and study that
   SD>while I have the time.

     For ARRL/VEC, it's a 40 question open book, untimed exam...you fill it
out at your leisure...2 hours, 2 days, 2 weeks, 2 months, etc. None of
this filling it out, and you hear "STOP!! PUT YOUR PENCIL DOWN!!", as
you cuss violently under your breath!! :P

SD>I sat down with all 500+ questions and memorized the answers then took the
SD>test. I know it's not the right way but it's the best way. Though now,
SD>looking over some of the questions, I have been looking up the explanation
   SD>behind the answers.

I downloaded the manual in PDF format (a new version is to come out
this summer), looked at the question, went to the index, and found what
I needed. I later went back, and read the entire manual, though. There
are a couple you have to think about, but it's common sense.

Yet, you'd think after having done over 200 sessions since October,
2007, that I'd know what I'm doing (hi hi).
