   Jimmy,

JA>Had a local user say he swears by that book and buys it every year.
JA>I did some research and it's bascially the rfinder site printed out.
JA>I can buy the app for $12.99 and it comes with a one year subscription
JA>to the site, but it still suffers from having to be updated by
   JA>SOMEBODY.

But, there are probably some who think "it updates by itself". That's
like these individuals in [insert hobby here] that think [insert event
here] happens by itself...setup before, operation during, and takedown
afterwards. It's like people want the glory and the benefits...but NO
ONE WANTS the gall and the work involved.

Basically, in life and hobbies, there are too many "takers" and not
enough "givers". In short, if you don't put much into a hobby or task,
you shouldn't expect to get much out of it.

JA>I've also decided that people that already have repeater info don't
JA>NEED it so why would they take time to update an online database? I
JA>can get the local ones from local clubs, but I like to program in
JA>out of town repeaters for when I'm traveling...

I won a Baofeng HT at the Shreveport Hamfest several years ago, but
used it mainly to monitor the Amtrak frequencies, and NOAA Weather
Radio. But, unless I can get some better financial situation soon, my
travel outside of central Arkansas is over, forever...ham radio and
   otherwise.

JA>... This tagline is donationware; send money to register it.

     Here's my reply...
