   I know you probably have the best intentions, but this echo I believe cannot    
   ever be civil nor will you really have a moment's rest moderating any traffic

   I live in downtown Toronto by the way, and gun violence is on par with the gun   
   violence of an American city facing gun violence. Gun control laws do not stop   
   criminals from obtaining guns. Even if that American city had a    
   higher statistic in comparison, it doesn't matter as criminals do not fill   
   out forms, sign up for gun-registry or wait the manditory periods. Criminals   
   do not obey the laws. If a criminal wants a gun, the criminal will get one.   
      
   Toronto and parts of Canada also have problems with stabbing crimes... so,    
   evidently maybe some knife-control is needed to reduce stabbings? Will it mean   
   I need a permit to use a Sharp Instrument Class device in a steak restaurant?   
      
   Just my two cents...
