Hello mark,              On 22 Jul 15 22:05, mark lewis wrote to Eric Renfro:               ml> there is the echotoss.log file that can be named anything you like...               ml> be warned, though, that automated background scanning can lead to        ml> troubles... like when you edit a message or decide to delete it and it        ml> has already been scanned out but your reader doesn't tell you that it        ml> is already gone... i had my main system set up for background scanning        ml> out of messages for several years and got bit enough times that i        ml> disabled it and went back to scanning once per hour before tossing new        ml> mail in... this because if there's more than one user on, other users'        ml> mail would be scanned out when the one logged off which would leave        ml> those folks in the same situation since the systems don't scan out        ml> just the mail for the one who logged off... they scan out all new        ml> posts regardless...              This seems to only be an issue when you directly link a sysop reader to your       BBS message bases with a built-in tosser. When I setup Golded+ on it's own       with a tosser/mailer, I haven't had this problem. I use goldkeys.cfg and setup       f11 to scan out echomail, and f12 to pack netmail. This way I can go through       my entire scan, and not send anything out. Editing, proofreading, etc (with       the occasional miss, of course) can be done wherever you want before the       tosser is actually ran.              Regards,       Nick              --- GoldED+/LNX 1.1.5-b20150715        * Origin: thePharcyde_ telnet://bbs.pharcyde.org (Wisconsin) (1:154/701)    |
