   there is the echotoss.log file that can be named anything you like...   
      
   be warned, though, that automated background scanning can lead to troubles...   
   like when you edit a message or decide to delete it and it has already been   
   scanned out but your reader doesn't tell you that it is already gone... i had   
   my main system set up for background scanning out of messages for several   
   years and got bit enough times that i disabled it and went back to scanning   
   once per hour before tossing new mail in... this because if there's more than   
   one user on, other users' mail would be scanned out when the one logged off   
   which would leave those folks in the same situation since the systems don't   
   scan out just the mail for the one who logged off... they scan out all new   
   posts regardless...
