Hello Wilfred,              03 Dec 13 08:30, you wrote to me:               WV> That was the last message in my message base from you when I wrote the        WV> reply. So there was nothing to read on. And there you, and anyone else        WV> who replied, didn't seem to have a clue what was going on.              You apparantly didn't, either. You generally knew where the blame was, but       that was a pretty broad suggestion on your part. What if someone were to have       no coding experience, or little technology experience when it comes to this       stuff? They would have been completely lost on what you said. It in the same       category as "RTFM". What if the "FM" isn't understood by said person?              What I'm saying is, you didn't help, or even TRY to help at all. You simply       gave a very generalized answer where most non-programmers wouldn't have a clue       what you were talking about.              Obviously the practice of helping people has been buried pretty deep over the       years of Fidonet.               WV> Obviously, you having a clue, and me writing a reply to help you get        WV> it, crossed paths...              I suppose. Unfortunatly in the wrong order, since I figured it out before and       without your broad comment.               WV> The way you are acting, the chances you will get a reply when you        WV> really need it, are a bit smaller now...              If that's your way of helping, you don't need to reply next time. The next       time I have a question, I'll be sure to direct it towards those who are       willing to help while maybe even taking a look into it with you, rather than       pointing people at proposals and washing your hands of it entirely.              Anyway, I was using Golded for the first time in awhile, so asked here. Come       to find out the issue had nothing to do with Golded and was fixed shortly       thereafter, no thanks to you.              On that note, Mark Lewis took the time to explain the exact situation, since       he had come across it in the past. Help like that is always appreciated.              Regards,       Nick              --- GoldED+/LNX 1.1.5-b20130910        * Origin: Dark Sorrow | bbs.darksorrow.us (1:154/701)    |
