Hello Roy,              On 02 Dec 12 at 13:06, you wrote to me:               NB>>>> BTW, here's the first reply using Michiel's care package.        NB>>>> Though while I was adding everything, I realized I don't use        NB>>>> CP850 as my local charset here like you do. Here's hoping..               RW>>> So, rather than keep everyone else in the dark, what's the care        RW>>> package about?               NB>> I didn't know anyone else was interested. :)               RW> Always interested in configuring GoldEd...note that the version I'm        RW> using is also plagued with the 437 character page.               RW> I've been playing with CHRS, but there doesn't seem to be any        RW> 'readable' doc files that address this.              Welp, it looks like that care package didn't work for me as CP850 isn't used       here, but I think I may have gained some ground by seeing that anyway.              Give this a try (and obviously your slashes would be reversed):              xlatpath /path/to/CHSfiles       xlatimport LATIN-1       xlatexport LATIN-1       xlatcharset IBMPC LATIN-1 ibm_iso.chs       xlatcharset LATIN-1 IBMPC iso_ibm.chs       xlatlocalset LATIN-1              I've just seen two dots over an 'o' before replying to this message, rather       than a high ascii block or an 'oe' or anything that I used to see. So       hopefully I'm getting somewhere. :)               NB>> It's basically some .CHS files with an xlat.cfg that seems to        NB>> work on Paul's system for interpreting the special European        NB>> characters used once in awhile. Doesn't seem to be working here        NB>> at the moment, but then again, I'm not very advanced at charsets        NB>> and font setup. Something to play around with, anyways.               RW> Hmmm. May have to get Michiel's help on it then.              I haven't seen him say much in awhile. He mentioned something in the IPV6 echo       recently about being super busy though, I remember that. There's probably a       handful of people that actually understand all of the Golded configuration,       and he would definitely one of them. :)              Regards,       Nick              --- SBBSecho 2.20-Linux        * Origin: thePharcyde_ telnet://bbs.pharcyde.org (Wisconsin) (1:154/10)    |
