   BTW: While I'm in the midst of toying with these ideas. Would you be so kind   
   as to help me out with my charsets? I'd like to be able to get to where you're   
   at, being able to view the "special" characters you mentioned early last   
   month. I read your thread about using ISO8859-1 / LATIN-1, and believe I have   
   things setup close to correct, yet there must be something minor I missed,   
   because I'm still not seeing those characters properly. Check my kludge, it   
   should be CHRS: LATIN-1 2 at the moment, and my configuration includes:   
      
   xlatcharsetalias ISO8859-1 LATIN-1   
   xlatimport LATIN-1   
   xlatexport LATIN-1   
   xlatlocalset LATIN-1   
      
   The only reason I used LATIN-1 in the xlatlocalset is because that's what   
   actually shows up in the CHRS kludge. My Gentoo box here has support built for   
   en_US ISO-8859-1 and en_US.UTF-8 UTF-8.   
      
   Any ideas on what I missed?
