Russell,              >>> Just pulled a new copy of the source from CVS and it compiles and       >>> works fine on Slackware 10.0 ... , very few warnings ... , maybe the       >>> more current gcc on Debian doesn't like the code ... :-(              >> What version of GCC etc is available there on that version of       >> Slackware?              > gcc version 3.3.4       > This what you wanted?               Indeed, it was... And, currently, even on Debian stable it's "gcc version       4.3.2", so I wouldn't be at all surprised that the problem is caused by the       difference in gcc versions.                GCC v3.4, btw, is available for the current Debian stable and I've thought       about installing it and trying again; but since it won't be available in the       next version of Debian (the lowest version there is 4.1), I don't know if it       is worth the trouble...                     Jame                     --- BBBS/LiI v4.01 Flag        * Origin: Rocasa BBS (1:120/546)    |
