   Maybe your computer's too fast, or your version of GoldED too new (and   
   optimized). I have several seconds to read the screen before it disappears. Of   
   course, I also start the Windows version of GoldED that's physically on my   
   (meanwhile totally obsolete) OS/2 server from my "working" machine (under Win   
   XP) over the internal net. Maybe that delays things enough for the screen to   
   be readable.
