   The log file under DOS always had a list format of when GD was opened and   
   closed.

   I use FE as GoldEd's messagebase. Nice thing is that instead of a   
   complicated comma delimited text file, it is GUI user friendly. It also   
   has an option of exporting a text file with the latest config in it. Plus   
   it has another option to export a 'squish' text file if one wants such a   
   thing. One  could probably export it to a squish messagebase and have it   
   running in minutes instead of hours.
