   hi All,   
      
    i am triing to use GoldED under linux.   
   the problem is when i try to start it just return to the prompt. when i strace   
   it at the end it gives me some escape codes probably ANSI and then quits.   
      
   i am sure its something obvious, but can you point me to the right direction?
