   Golded is paid software that was released into public with open source licence   
   by Odinn around 31 Oct 1998. It had approved local area register sites. There   
   should be a "register" information in old archives. As far as i remember the   
   registration fee was around 40 DM. The key unlocked some features (like the   
   random system? i can't remember) and was needed to run the beta versions.
