   I'm pretty sure if GoldED can't write to the messagebase for whatever reason   
   it saves the message to a text file named golded.msg in the current directory.   
      
   Though I recall that if you write a new message it will overwrite that file   
   without prompting.   
      
   I may be wrong there though.
