Hi Wilfred!              23 Nov 2016 13:24, from Wilfred van Velzen -> Richard Menedetter:               WV> The %RESCAN command in FMail works as specified in FSC-0057.003:        WV> "This may be accomplished by specifying the %RESCAN command in the        WV> body of the request. This will force the ConfMgr to generate a scan        WV> request for those areas which the remote system requested with        WV> themessage containing the %RESCAN command."              For me there is nothing in the above that shows that it applies only to new       non existing areas.              Also for me the section below it discussing dupes does not make sense in that       scenario.              If you only can rescan newly requested areas, you will not generate dupes.       (Exception if you add some links automatically to newly generated areas on       your local system).              But I think we are turning in (unnecessary) circles.       I know now what to send to rescan an existing area.              There is more than one config option on many different softwares that I find       unlogical.       So the fault lies probably in me ;)       (But I still think is that sending back a "you are already connected to that       area" message is a bit unintuitive if you rescan an area that is active for       you already)              CU, Ricsi              --- GoldED+/LNX        * Origin: Never step in anything soft (2:310/31)    |
