Hello Michiel,              On Monday, September 19, 2011 at 22:08, you wrote to me:               NJ>> but when I write a new netmail message, the FMail scanner or        NJ>> packer do not seem to detect it, even though the new .MSG file is        NJ>> generated by GoldED in the same directory as where FMail puts        NJ>> received netmail messages. Does anyone have any idea what I may        NJ>> have set up wrong?               MV> You did nothing wrong. Fmail does not pack netmail unless it is        MV> explicitly configured to do so. You can do that by setting the "Pack        MV> Netm." to "yes in the node manager for the node in question.               MV> I never do that, I always send netmail uncompressed. But then my IP        MV> mailer is Irex. Binkp may or may not need mail to be compressed in        MV> order to have it send out. I am niot familiar wth Binkd.              Thanks for shedding some light on this issue; the approach you describe works       correctly for all routed netmail. (Although I have to check whether crashmail       is packed correctly as well; I think that may cause some problems.) I don't       think I can teach binkd to send non-packed netmail, though, but maybe I should       move that issue over to the appropriate echo. :-)              Kind regards,       Niels              --- FMail/Win32 1.60        * Origin: Niels's FidoNet Node - joncheere.dyndns.org (2:292/789)    |
