Of course it is.              But that is the official designation.              >The latest coronavirus that plays a role in the ongoing Trump pandemic has the       >official designation SARS-CoV-2. Why do you want to call it the Chinese or       >Wuhan Coronavirus? What other reason besides racism are there? Just because we       >made mistakes in the past doesn't mean we have to repeat them forever.              MERS is not old enough to be that distant in the past. My reasoning has       nothing to do with racism. It has everything to do with "we need to       remember where this started because the Chinese government did not learn       their lesson the last time and, if the World does not keep on them about       their practices, they will continue and this will happen again and again..."              Here are some good links, including one where a professor of Chinese descent       is interviewed, and another that includes interviews with actual Chinese       people. There seems to be little doubt that they could have prevented this       if they'd not gone right back to doing what they were doing in 2003 when       that outbreak happend. There is also no doubt there was a Chinese government       cover up. They persecuted the whistleblower doctor, destroyed initial testing       evidence, and still today are trying to deflect the blame for their actions       onto others:              https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPpoJGYlW54              https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-LL9vK_Uh4              https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/mar/11/coronavirus-wuhan-doctor-ai-fen-       speaks-out-against-authorities              https://www.whistleblowersblog.org/2020/03/articles/featured-story/report-       suggests-if-china-had-listened-to-whistleblower-95-of-coronavirus-infections       could-have-been-prevented/              None of those make it sound like the Chinese government has learned their       lesson and won't go right back to doing what they were doing before.              That last one is a real good one. Note that it is not called "if Donald       Trump was smarter, 95% of infections could have been prevented." All the       people who are sick or dead are so because the CHINESE GOVERNMENT covered       it up. All this disruption that all of us are having to go through is because       the CHINESE GOVERNMENT covered it up. If they weren't worried about saving       face or keeping an industry going that allows rich, influential Chinese to       eat exotic and endangered animals, NONE of this would be happening.              Calling it a "Trump pandemic" like you do is much more misleading than "Wuhan       coronavirus." Again, 95% OF INFECTIONS COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED if China       had not swept it under the rug for a month or more. For their actions, they       deserve to have it called "Chinese Government Cover-Up Coronoavirus."              If we all forget where this started, the Chinese government will just keep       allowing these practices, and in a few years we will all be on lockdown       again, assuming it does not kill us.              I think you need to educate yourself about what caused this, and how it was       covered up, before crying "racism" at something that triggers you. Unless,       of course, you are intentially acting as a mouthpiece for the Chinese       government or enjoy doing so by accident. In that case I guess you can       explain to me how the Chinese people interviewed are racist against their       own people, or something equally as silly.              Mike                      * SLMR 2.1a * Arrogance never wins customers.       --- SBBSecho 3.10-Linux        * Origin: capitolcityonline.net * Telnet/SSH:2022/HTTP (1:2320/105)       SEEN-BY: 1/19 123 14/5 15/0 16/0 101 19/36 34/999 90/1 103/705 106/201       SEEN-BY: 116/18 120/302 331 544 123/130 131 140 128/2 132/174 153/757       SEEN-BY: 153/7715 154/10 201/0 203/0 124 218/700 221/0 1 227/114 229/101       SEEN-BY: 229/200 426 1014 230/0 150 152 240/1120 5832 249/206 307       SEEN-BY: 249/317 400 250/1 261/38 100 1466 266/512 267/155 275/100       SEEN-BY: 280/464 5003 5555 282/1031 1056 288/100 291/1 111 292/854       SEEN-BY: 310/31 317/3 320/119 219 322/0 757 340/400 342/13 200 396/45       SEEN-BY: 423/120 633/280 640/1321 712/848 770/1 801/161 189 2320/105       SEEN-BY: 2320/195 304 2452/250 3634/12 24 5020/1042       PATH: 2320/105 261/38 320/219 203/0 280/464 229/426           |
