   Hi August,

   >> ... The first
   >> one I planted with Beet Greens just wouldn't stop producing..
   >> ... You can cook them like spinach or eat them
   >> uncooked, they are actually better for you than spinach if you
   >> can imagine that

   > What do they taste like?

Hmmm... to me beet greens taste like spinach, but they are more like kale in
texture. We love them sauteed in olive oil with garlic :)

   >> Sounds familiar Every year I also grow fresh veggies in my
   >> garden outdoors... I have an "in-ground" traditional pumpkin
   >> patch, & green beans growing along side our fenced in dog yard
   >> (yes, the oinkers love stealing green beans when they spurt out
   >> into their reach Lol).

   >When I was tending to the weeds in the garden (many many years ago) I had a
   >dog >that just loved helping herself picking off green beans on the vine!

Yeah, that sure sounds like my two silly dogs I think they held off
grabbing them until they noticed me grab one to munch on... After that, I
had to make sure that the plants were out of their reach :)

   > She
   >loved > fresh corn on the cob too.

haha - I can picture that :) I've never grown corn though... I do love it
   though :)

   >> You could duplicate an aerogarden easily, and I have in the
   >> past. But it is much easier this way and with the genetically
   >> modified plants they have developed to grow _much_ faster than
   >> traditional vegetables, you can't lose.

   >What a sec.. I thought the aerogarden product/seeds were advertised as non-GMO
   > But you're saying that they *are* specially modified seeds?

Yeah, you are right, they _are_ non-GMO... IIRC, the way the company described
it is first they select fast-growing varieties for some of their seed pod kits
... and when you grow them in water as opposed to dirt and you use the plant
light they sell with the aerogardens and you give them the plant food
provided, the plants grow something like 5 times faster than normal. I've
never tried the "grow anything" kits they sell in which you can plant any
seeds you cared to... but I may at some point :)

   Take care,
   Janis
