   ROUTING FILE

I know that in some respects, FrontDoor and InterMail are similar. If
I remember right, one such deal is the routing file (ROUTE.FD or
ROUTE.IM -- FD for FrontDoor and IM for InterMail).

I had originally run GT Power for dial-up for 13 years, using
InterMail as the frontend, and 2 tossers (InterEcho and FIDOGate) for GT
Power. Then, I went to Synchronet for 2 years, then to Virtual Advanced.
However, with GT Power now under new ownership, I'm going to return to
   my BBS roots.

Anyway, my question concerns the routing and files statements. In this
case, I'll just use the ones to my main hub, Janis Kracht, at 1:261/38,
   as the example.

   ROUTE-TO 1:261/38 1:261/38

This routes any direct netmail to Janis' system.

   ROUTE-TO 1:261/38 1:ALL 2:ALL 3:ALL 4:ALL 5:ALL 6:ALL

This routes any FIDONet Zone Netmail to Janis' system.

I think the FILES-TO command would be similar.

The bottom line is that it has been over 10 years since I ran GT
Power, InterEcho, and FIDOGate...and while I have GT Power and its
tosser (FIDOGate) set up, I have that one question with InterEcho. Since
I don't have dial-up anymore (after construction crews several
years ago sliced the cables out at the apartments where I live), I won't
be using InterMail as a frontend...especially since the new version of
GT Power will be telnet capable.

     Any clarification would be appreciated.
